We are excited that you are considering us for you or your loved ones future needs. Our facility offers
many activities and services while still allowing our residents to be independent.
While making the choice of how to approach the upcoming years each family has different points they wish a facility to address and fulfill. One of the most important points is proper care. CedarView Assisted Living prides itself on its knowledgeable and outstanding staff. Our director, Treva Benoit, has more than ten years of experience working in long-term care facilities. We also employ licensed nurses who work day shift hours and/or are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Other staff members available to our residents include Certified Medication Aids (CMA) and Certified Nurse Aids (CNA). They assist residents with medications and activities of daily living. Residents can contact the staff by pull cords located throughout their room. These cords are located in the bathroom, living room, and bedroom of each apartment as well as throughout the building. Staff carry phones that are connected to these pull cords so they can communicate with the residents. We make it a priority to respond as quickly as possible to each call.
Another point we feel is very important at Cedar View is inner community involvement. The most prominent area to see this in is our dining room. We have tables where conversations flow and are a highlight to each resident’s day. Each day we serve three complete meals, with breakfast available between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m., lunch at Noon, and supper at 5 p.m. Breakfast is served based on each resident’s choice. Lunch and supper are served from planned menus. Enclosed is a typical menu. We also offer a variety of weekly activities including church services (both Catholic and Protestant), nightly activities (cards, bingo, etc.) afternoon coffee groups; and many other activities put together by our senior companion and staff. An example is enclosed. We also provide scheduled exercises before lunch. Other services that are provided in our facility by an outside person at an additional charge include physical therapy, a beautician, and a podiatrist. The services are offered as a convenience to our residents.
If you need more information or would like to schedule an appointment with our director to further discuss becoming a part of our community please call (785) 628-3200. We hope you make us a part of your future.
